This is an archive of (almost) everything I've ever written online

I've been blogging and writing online since I was in school: anything from short stories to teenage angst. When I started university, I decided to start a TV review blog as a side project; aptly named Crime and Relative Dimension in Space. (You might be able to guess it all started with Doctor Who episode recaps.)

Alongside my studies (English Lit & Cultural Studies), I wrote tens of thousands of words about series I was watching from 2010-2014. I've added some more reviews in the years since, but the bulk of work is from that time period.

I also had a queer literature side project, Rainbow Bookshelf, from 2020-2022. I had great fun with it, but not always as much time to devote to it as I would have liked.

Since 2022, I have also been livestreaming games and writing on Twitch, at twitch.tv/annamarabella, and significantly grown my YouTube channel, youtube.com/grumble, where I archive stream VODs and post regular videos about games, such as let's plays, reviews, and essays.

I decided to cancel my paid plans with WordPress/Automattic in early 2024, when Automattic made the decision to allow OpenAI crawlers to scrape content. Around the same time, CEO Matt Mullenweg also publicly harassed a trans woman. This was the final straw.

I have now, in 2025, finally found the time and the right platform to pull all my writing together in one place. I will be building out this archive over the coming weeks, and then continue to add all my new work here.
